THE TARSHISH VOYAGE (Part 2)
Text : Jonah 2 Where are you? Have you been smitten by your conscience for a wrong doing? Has this question sprung up within you? Did you give it a second thought? God sure knows where we are. He is omniscient! However, this query is meant to bring us to the point of realization, self assessment, sober reflection and repentance. He wants us to call upon him, from where we are - just the way we are. He alone can help us out of our mess. "Where could I go to escape from you? Where could I get away from your presence?" Psalm 139:7 (GNT) The fish's belly represents a place of trouble, darkness, pain, discomfort, uncertainty, confusion and hopelessness. To go our own way, is to end up groping in the dark.
